Security Analyst

Role Overview
As an entry-level Security Analyst in our Threat Intelligence Unit (TIU) team, reporting to the Threat Intelligence Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and driving the success of a highly skilled team. Your primary focus will be managing TIU services for Enea clients under the categories of Messaging Abuse Prevention, Messaging Revenue Protection, and Signalling Protection.
We are looking for someone with a keen interest in security who is seeking a challenging role at the forefront of the telecoms industry. A degree in computer science or engineering is preferred, and exceptional communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be technically skilled, a fast learner, and adept at combining problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused approach. A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and fluency in English are key for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Solutions Development: Create and maintain security solutions on Enea's client platforms
- Threat Landscape Awareness: Keep up to date with the telecoms threat landscape
- Threat Analysis: Analyze data collected from customer deployments to identify and investigate threats
- Client Security Reviews: Provide security reviews for Enea's clients; independently field client questions and manage client expectations
- Independent Work: Work on your own initiative, with minimal supervision, but with the support of a team lead and global team of analysts
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- Educational Background: B.Tech degree in computer science or telecoms-related field
- Interest in Telecoms and Security: A strong interest in telecoms and security technology
- Unix/Linux Proficiency: Knowledge of working in a Unix/Linux environment
- SQL/Database Familiarity: Basic familiarity with SQL/Database concepts
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Messaging Systems Experience: Experience with messaging systems and architecture
- Networking Knowledge: Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, and DNS
- GSM Fundamentals: Understanding of GSM network fundamentals
- Scripting Skills: Knowledge of shell scripting or a scripting language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl)
