DPI Tester (student)
Protocol Plugin Tester Student – Qosmos DPI Technology
Location: Bucharest or Craiova, Romania (Hybrid/Remote flexibility)
Department: DPI Development Center
Company: Enea Qosmos Division
Internship Duration: 6 months – 1 year (with possibility of full-time employment)
Internship Overview
This internship is an excellent opportunity for students in Computer Science or Telecommunications to gain hands-on experience in network protocol analysis, software testing, and deep packet inspection technology. You will work closely with experienced engineers on real projects, contributing either on the development side or in testing and validation—depending on your interests and skills.
The job can be tuned to offer a progressive learning path starting from 3rd year students in Computer Engineering.
From a given list of applications for which we suspect some changes, you will need to capture the network communications of the applications using our internal platform. From there, you will check the application is correctly recognized by our DPI product, opening bug reports and suggesting corrections if necessary. The job can evolve to also include, depending on your skills, tests of the signature fixes, final tests, testing of other parts of our product and developing signature fixes. If you are curious and enjoy studying how applications work, you are the right fit for this job.
Responsibilities
As a Tester Intern, you may:
- Participate in the creation and execution of test plans and test cases.
- Help analyze test results and debug reported issues.
Common Tasks:
- Document your work clearly and thoroughly.
- Collaborate closely with other team members in Bucharest, Craiova, and Paris.
- Learn and follow testing best practices in a professional environment.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll be part of the DPI Development Team based in Bucharest and Craiova, closely collaborating with the DPI Development Center in Paris. You will be mentored by a local Team Manager and supported throughout the internship in both technical and professional development.
Qualifications
Education:
- Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
